The Golden Rule modifica

  • No facis als altres el que t'agradaria que et fessin a tu. Els seus gustos poden no ser els mateixos.

Reason modifica

  • L'home racional s'adapta al món, l'irracional persisteix en intentar adaptar el món a ell mateix. Per tant, tot el progrés depèn de l'home irracional.
(en anglès) The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
  • L'home que escolta la Raó està perdut. La Raó esclavitza totes aquelles ments que no són prou fortes per a dominar-la.
(en anglès) The man who listens to Reason is lost: Reason enslaves all whose minds are not strong enough to master her.

Experience modifica

  • Els homes són savis en proporció, no de la seva experiència, sinò en la seva capacitat per a l'experiència.
