William Shockley

físic estatunidenc guardonat amb el premi Nobel

William Bradford Shockley (Londres, 13 de febrer de 1910 — Stanford, Califòrnia, 12 d'agost de 1989) fou un físic estatunidenc, co-inventor del transistor, i controvertit per les seves opinions sobre temes racials i l'eugenèsia. Fou guardonat amb el Premi Nobel de Física l'any 1956.
